Pull char/misc and other driver subsystem updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the big set of char/misc and other driver subsystem updates
for 6.10-rc1. Nothing major here, just lots of new drivers and updates

The secure update driver does a sanity-check of the image size in
comparison to the size of the staging area in FLASH. Instead of
hard-wiring M10BMC_STAGING_SIZE, move the staging size to the
m10bmc_csr_map structure to make the size assignment more flexible.

Add PCI subdevice ID for the Intel D5005 Stratix 10 FPGA card as
used with the Open FPGA Stack (OFS) FPGA Interface Manager (FIM).
Unlike the Intel D5005 PAC FIM which exposed a separate PCI device ID,
the OFS FIM reuses the same device ID for all DFL-based FPGA cards
and differentiates on the subdevice ID. The subdevice ID values were
chosen as the numeric part of the FPGA card names in hexadecimal.

The current implementation of the fpga region assumes that the low-level
module registers a driver for the parent device and uses its owner pointer
to take the module's refcount. This approach is problematic since it can
lead to a null pointer dereference while attempting to get the region
during programming if the parent device does not have a driver.
To address this problem, add a module owner pointer to the fpga_region
struct and use it to take the module's refcount. Modify the functions for
registering a region to take an additional owner module parameter and
rename them to avoid conflicts. Use the old function names for helper
macros that automatically set the module that registers the region as the
owner. This ensures compatibility with existing low-level control modules
and reduces the chances of registering a region without setting the owner.
Also, update the documentation to keep it consistent with the new interface
for registering an fpga region.

KUnit now provides helper functions to create fake devices, so use them
instead of relying on platform devices.

Xilinx 7 series FPGA can be programmed using a parallel port named
the SelectMAP interface in the datasheet. This interface is compatible
with the i.MX6 EIM bus controller but other types of external memory
mapped parallel bus might work.
xilinx-selectmap currently only supports the x8 mode where data is loaded
at one byte per rising edge of the clock, with the MSb of each byte
presented to the D0 pin.

Factor out the gpio handshaking (using PROGRAM_B, INIT_B and DONE)
protocol in xilinx-core so that it can be reused for another driver.
This commit does not change anything functionally to xilinx-spi.
xilinx-core expects drivers to provide a write(const char* buf,
size_t count) function that performs the actual write to the device,
as well as a struct device* for resource management.

to take the module's refcount. This approach is problematic since it can
lead to a null pointer dereference while attempting to get the bridge if
the parent device does not have a driver.
To address this problem, add a module owner pointer to the fpga_bridge
struct and use it to take the module's refcount. Modify the function for
registering a bridge to take an additional owner module parameter and
rename it to avoid conflicts. Use the old function name for a helper macro
that automatically sets the module that registers the bridge as the owner.
This ensures compatibility with existing low-level control modules and
reduces the chances of registering a bridge without setting the owner.
Also, update the documentation to keep it consistent with the new interface
for registering an fpga bridge.
Other changes: opportunistically move put_device() from __fpga_bridge_get()
to fpga_bridge_get() and of_fpga_bridge_get() to improve code clarity since
the bridge device is taken in these functions.

Commit 0d70af3c2530 ("fpga: bridge: Use standard dev_release for class
driver") introduced a check in fpga_bridge_register() that prevents
registering a bridge without ops, making checking on every call
redundant.

Now that the driver core can properly handle constant struct bus_type,
move the dfl_bus_type variable to be a constant structure as well,
placing it into read-only memory which can not be modified at runtime.

In commit 8caab75fd2c2 ("spi: Generalize SPI "master" to "controller"")
some functions and struct members were renamed. To not break all drivers
compatibility macros were provided.
To be able to remove these compatibility macros push the renaming into
this driver.

Ever since the eventfd type was introduced back in 2007 in commit
e1ad7468c77d ("signal/timer/event: eventfd core") the eventfd_signal()
function only ever passed 1 as a value for @n. There's no point in
keeping that additional argument.

dfl.c utilizes memdup_user() and array_size() to copy a userspace array.
array_size() will likely never trigger thanks to the preceding check.
Nevertheless, in the theoretical event that it would, it would return
SIZE_MAX to memdup_user(), resulting in an attempt to allocate huge
amounts of memory.
string.h from the core-api now provides memdup_array_user() which also
performs an overflow check and returns an error-pointer with -EOVERFLOW
to the caller.
As an additional advantage it standardizes how userspace-arrays are
being copied and, thus, makes it more obvious to readers that an array
is being copied.
Replace memdup_user() with memdup_array_user().

fpga_region_class_find() in fpga_region_test_class_find() will call
get_device() if the data is matched, which will increment refcount for
dev->kobj, so it should call put_device() to decrement refcount for
dev->kobj to free the region, because fpga_region_unregister() will call
fpga_region_dev_release() only when the refcount for dev->kobj is zero
but fpga_region_test_init() call device_register() in
fpga_region_register_full(), which also increment refcount.
So call put_device() after calling fpga_region_class_find() in
fpga_region_test_class_find(). After applying this patch, the following
memory leak is never detected.

The fpga core currently assumes that all manager, bridge, and region
devices have a parent device associated with a driver that can be used
to take the module's refcount. This behavior causes the fpga test suites
to crash with a null-ptr-deref since parent fake devices do not have a
driver. This patch disables all fpga KUnit test suites when loadable
module support is enabled until the fpga core is fixed. Test suites
can still be run using the KUnit default UML kernel.

The existing implementation support only 32-bit DMA operation.
So, it fails to load the bitstream for the high DDR designs(Beyond 4GB).
To fix this issue update the DMA mask handling logic to support 44-bit
DMA operations.

time placing it into read-only memory, instead of having to be
dynamically allocated at boot time.

The DT of_device.h and of_platform.h date back to the separate
of_platform_bus_type before it as merged into the regular platform bus.
As part of that merge prepping Arm DT support 13 years ago, they
"temporarily" include each other. They also include platform_device.h
and of.h. As a result, there's a pretty much random mix of those include
files used throughout the tree. In order to detangle these headers and
replace the implicit includes with struct declarations, users need to
explicitly include the correct includes.

On some MAX 10 cards, the BMC firmware is not available to service
handshake registers during secure update erase and write phases at
normal speeds. This problem affects at least hwmon driver. When the MAX
10 hwmon driver tries to read the sensor values during a secure update,
the reads are slowed down (e.g., reading all D5005 sensors takes ~24s
which is magnitudes worse than the normal <0.02s).
Manage access to the handshake registers using a rw semaphore and a FW
state variable to prevent accesses during those secure update phases
and return -EBUSY instead.
If handshake_sys_reg_nranges == 0, don't update bwcfw_state as it is not
used. This avoids the locking cost.

The Zynq platform has PCAP, ICAP and JTAG interfaces for configuring
programmable logic (PL). The existing driver implementation uses the
PCAP interface to configure the PL. Before switching the PL configuration
interface from PCAP to ICAP make sure that all outstanding Transactions
relevant to the PL configuration should be completed by the PCAP interface
otherwise it may lead to PL configuration issues.
This patch provides a required fix to ensure that all existing PL
transactions are completed before switching from PCAP to ICAP.
For detailed information relevant to PL configuration interfaces refer
Zynq 7000 TRM (section 6.5.1).

"Here is the large set of driver core changes for 6.4-rc1.
Once again, a busy development cycle, with lots of changes happening
in the driver core in the quest to be able to move "struct bus" and
"struct class" into read-only memory, a task now complete with these
changes.
This will make the future rust interactions with the driver core more
"provably correct" as well as providing more obvious lifetime rules
for all busses and classes in the kernel.
The changes required for this did touch many individual classes and
busses as many callbacks were changed to take const * parameters
instead. All of these changes have been submitted to the various

The current code path can lead to warnings because of uninitialized device,
which contains, as a consequence, uninitialized kobject. The uninitialized
device is passed to of_platform_populate, which will at some point, while
creating child device, try to get a reference on uninitialized parent,
resulting in the following warning:
kobject: '(null)' ((ptrval)): is not initialized, yet kobject_get() is
being called.
The warning is observed after migrating a kernel 5.10.x to 6.1.x.
Reverting commit 0d70af3c2530 ("fpga: bridge: Use standard dev_release for
class driver") seems to remove the warning.
This commit aggregates device_initialize() and device_add() into
device_register() but this new call is done AFTER of_platform_populate

Driver has IO wrappers but xlnx_pr_decouple_read() is not used and readl is
used instead which is just wrong.
It is also generating sparse issue that xlnx_pr_decouple_read() is unused.

The module pointer in class_create() never actually did anything, and it
shouldn't have been requred to be set as a parameter even if it did
something. So just remove it and fix up all callers of the function in
the kernel tree at the same time.

pci_enable_pcie_error_reporting() enables the device to send ERR_*
Messages. Since f26e58bf6f54 ("PCI/AER: Enable error reporting when AER is
native"), the PCI core does this for all devices during enumeration, so the
driver doesn't need to do it itself.
Remove the redundant pci_enable_pcie_error_reporting() call from the
driver. Also remove the corresponding pci_disable_pcie_error_reporting()
from the driver .remove() path.
Note that this only controls ERR_* Messages from the device. An ERR_*
Message may cause the Root Port to generate an interrupt, depending on the
AER Root Error Command register managed by the AER service driver.

Pull driver core updates from Greg KH:
"Here is the large set of driver core changes for 6.3-rc1.
There's a lot of changes this development cycle, most of the work
falls into two different categories:
- fw_devlink fixes and updates. This has gone through numerous review
cycles and lots of review and testing by lots of different devices.
Hopefully all should be good now, and Saravana will be keeping a
watch for any potential regression on odd embedded systems.
- driver core changes to work to make struct bus_type able to be
moved into read-only memory (i.e. const) The recent work with Rust
has pointed out a number of areas in the driver core where we are
passing around and working with structures that really do not have
to be dynamic at all, and they should be able to be read-only
making things safer overall. This is the contuation of that work
(started last release with kobject changes) in moving struct
bus_type to be constant. We didn't quite make it for this release,
but the remaining patches will be finished up for the release after
this one, but the groundwork has been laid for this effort.
Other than that we have in here:
- debugfs memory leak fixes in some subsystems
- error path cleanups and fixes for some never-able-to-be-hit
codepaths.
- cacheinfo rework and fixes
- Other tiny fixes, full details are in the shortlog
All of these have been in linux-next for a while with no reported
problems"

Add support for PMCI-based flash access path and N6000 sec update
support. Access to flash staging area is different for N6000 from that
of the SPI interfaced counterparts.
Introduce intel_m10bmc_flash_bulk_ops to allow interface specific
differentiations for the flash access path for sec update and make
m10bmc_sec_read/write() in sec update driver to use the new operations.
The .flash_mutex serializes read/read. Flash update (erase+write) must
use ->lock/unlock_write() to prevent reads during update (reads would
timeout on setting flash MUX as BMC will prevent it).
Create a type specific RSU status reg handler for N6000 because the
field has moved from doorbell to auth result register.
If a failure is detected while altering the flash MUX, it seems safer
to try to set it back and doesn't seem harmful. Likely there are enough
troubles in that case anyway so setting it back fails too (which is
harmless sans the small extra delay) or just confirms that the value
wasn't changed.

This patch changes the show() method of the "state" sysfs attribute to
propagate errors returned by the enable_show() op. In this way,
userspace can distinguish between when the bridge is actually "enabled"
(i.e., allowing signals) or "disabled" (i.e., gating signals), or when
there is an error.
Currently, enable_show() returns an integer representing the bridge's
state (enabled or disabled) or an error code. However, this integer
value is interpreted in state_show() as a bool, resulting in the method
printing "enabled" (i.e., the bridge allows signals to pass), without
propagating the error, even when enable_show() returns an error code.

mpf_ops_write() function writes bitstream data to the FPGA by a smaller
frames. Introduce mpf_spi_frame_write() function which is for writing a
single data frame and use it in mpf_ops_write().
No functional changes intended.

Original busy loop with retries count in mpf_poll_status() is not too
reliable, as it takes different times on different systems. Replace it
with read_poll_timeout() macro.
While at it, fix polling stop condition to met function's original
intention declared in the comment. The issue with original polling stop
condition is that it stops if any of mask bits is set, while intention
was to stop if all mask bits is set. This was not noticible because only
MPF_STATUS_READY is passed as mask argument and it is BIT(1).

As spi-summary doc says:
> I/O buffers use the usual Linux rules, and must be DMA-safe.
> You'd normally allocate them from the heap or free page pool.
> Don't use the stack, or anything that's declared "static".
Replace spi_write() with spi_write_then_read(), which is dma-safe for
on-stack buffers. Use cacheline aligned buffers for transfers used in
spi_sync_transfer().
Although everything works OK with stack-located I/O buffers, better
follow the doc to be safe.

The uevent() callback in struct bus_type should not be modifying the
device that is passed into it, so mark it as a const * and propagate the
function signature changes out into all relevant subsystems that use
this callback.

The rsu status field moves from the doorbell register to the auth
result register in the PMCI implementation of the MAX10 BMC. In order
to prepare for that, refactor the sec update driver code to have a type
specific ops that provides ->rsu_status().

Access to flash staging area is different for N6000 from that of the
SPI interfaced counterparts. To make it easier to differentiate flash
access path, move read/write into new functions where the new access
path can be easily placed into. Rework the unaligned access such the
behavior it matches for both read and write.
This change also renames m10bmc_sec_write() to m10bmc_sec_fw_write() as
it would have a name conflict otherwise.

Split the common code from intel-m10-bmc driver into intel-m10-bmc-core
and move the SPI bus parts into an interface specific file.
intel-m10-bmc-core becomes the core MFD functions which can support
multiple bus interface like SPI bus.

Version 1 of the Device Feature Header (DFH) definition adds
functionality to the Device Feature List (DFL) bus.
A DFHv1 header may have one or more parameter blocks that
further describes the HW to SW. Add support to the DFL bus
to parse the MSI-X parameter.
The location of a feature's register set is explicitly
described in DFHv1 and can be relative to the base of the DFHv1
or an absolute address. Parse the location and pass the information
to DFL driver.

In case of error, the function stratix10_svc_allocate_memory()
returns ERR_PTR() and never returns NULL. The NULL test in the
return value check should be replaced with IS_ERR().

The secure update driver depends on the firmware-upload functionality of
the firmware-loader. The firmware-loader is carried in the firmware-class
driver which is enabled with the tristate CONFIG_FW_LOADER option. The
firmware-upload functionality is included in the firmware-class driver if
the bool FW_UPLOAD config is set.
The current dependency statement, "depends on FW_UPLOAD", is not adequate
because it does not implicitly turn on FW_LOADER. Instead of adding a
dependency, follow the convention used by drivers that require the
FW_LOADER_USER_HELPER functionality of the firmware-loader by using
select for both FW_LOADER and FW_UPLOAD.

Add support to the FPGA manager for programming Lattice ECP5 FPGA over
slave SPI sysCONFIG interface.
sysCONFIG interface core functionality is separate from both ECP5 and
SPI specifics, so support for other FPGAs with different port types can
be added in the future.

In the probe path, dev_err() can be replaced with dev_err_probe()
which will check if error code is -EPROBE_DEFER and prints the
error name. It also sets the defer probe reason which can be
checked later through debugfs. It's more simple in error path.

There is an error check following the allocation of flash_buf that returns
without freeing flash_buf. It makes more sense to do the error check
before the allocation and the reordering eliminates the memory leak.

Add a driver name for the D5005 BMC secure update driver. Different
driver names are used for the N3000 and D5005 devices because future
changes will add conditional code based on the device type (N3000
vs D5005). This change enables D5005 secure updates of BCM images,
BMC firmware, static-region images, etc.

At the moment FPGA manager core loads to the device entire image
provided to fpga_mgr_load(). But it is not always whole FPGA image
buffer meant to be written to the device. In particular, .dat formatted
image for Microchip MPF contains meta info in the header that is not
meant to be written to the device. This is issue for those low level
drivers that loads data to the device with write() fpga_manager_ops
callback, since write() can be called in iterator over scatter-gather
table, not only linear image buffer. On the other hand, write_sg()
callback is provided with whole image in scatter-gather form and can
decide itself which part should be sent to the device.
Add header_size and data_size to the fpga_image_info struct, add
skip_header to the fpga_manager_ops struct and adjust fpga_mgr_write()
callers with respect to them.
* info->header_size indicates part at the beginning of image buffer
that contains some meta info. It is optional and can be 0,
initialized with mops->initial_header_size.
* mops->skip_header tells fpga-mgr core whether write should start
from the beginning of image buffer or at the offset of header_size.
* info->data_size is the size of bitstream data that is meant to be
written to the device. It is also optional and can be 0, which
means bitstream data is up to the end of image buffer.
Also add parse_header() callback to fpga_manager_ops, which purpose is
to set info->header_size and info->data_size. At least
initial_header_size bytes of image buffer will be passed into
parse_header() first time. If it is not enough, parse_header() should
set desired size into info->header_size and return -EAGAIN, then it will
be called again with greater part of image buffer on the input.

Extend the MAX10 BMC Secure Update driver to provide sysfs files to
expose the 128 bit code signing key (CSK) cancellation vectors. These use
the standard bitmap list format (e.g. 1,2-6,9).
Each CSK is assigned an ID, a number between 0-127, during the signing
process. CSK ID cancellation information is stored in 128-bit fields in
write-once locations in flash. The cancellation of a CSK can be used
to prevent the card from being rolled back to older images that were
signed with a CSK that is now cancelled.

Create a sub-driver for the FPGA Card BMC in order to support secure
updates. This patch creates the Max10 BMC Secure Update driver and
provides sysfs files for displaying the root entry hashes (REH) for the
FPGA static region (SR), the FPGA Partial Reconfiguration (PR) region,
and the card BMC.
The Intel MAX10 BMC Root of Trust (RoT) requires that all BMC Nios firmware
and FPGA images are authenticated using ECDSA before loading and executing
on the card. Code Signing Keys (CSK) are used to sign images. CSKs are
signed by a root key. The root entry hash is created from the root public
key.
The RoT provides authentication by storing an REH bitstream to a write-once
location. Image signatures are verified against the hash.

Currently we use PORTn_OFFSET to locate PORT DFLs, and PORT DFLs are not
connected FME DFL. But for some cases (e.g. Intel Open FPGA Stack device),
PORT DFLs are connected to FME DFL directly, so we don't need to search
PORT DFLs via PORTn_OFFSET again. If BAR value of PORTn_OFFSET is 0x7
(FME_PORT_OFST_BAR_SKIP) then driver will skip searching the DFL for that
port. If BAR value is invalid, return -EINVAL.

which feature type. But currently we want to extend its
usage to have a per-type feature ID space, so this patch
adds feature type checking as well just before look into

In [1], Christoph Hellwig has proposed to remove the wrappers in
include/linux/pci-dma-compat.h.
Some reasons why this API should be removed have been given by Julia
Lawall in [2].
A coccinelle script has been used to perform the needed transformation.
It can be found in [3].
It has been hand modified to use 'dma_set_mask_and_coherent()' instead of
'pci_set_dma_mask()/pci_set_consistent_dma_mask()' when applicable.
This is less verbose.
The explicit 'ret = -EIO;' has been removed because
'dma_set_mask_and_coherent()' returns 0 or -EIO, so its return code can be
used directly.

The FPGA region class driver data structure is being treated as a
managed resource instead of using the standard dev_release call-back
function to release the class data structure. This change removes the
managed resource code and combines the create() and register()
functions into a single register() or register_full() function.
The register_full() function accepts an info data structure to provide
flexibility in passing optional parameters. The register() function
supports the current parameter list for users that don't require the
use of optional parameters.

and combines the create() and register() functions into a single
register() or register_full() function.
The register_full() function accepts an info data structure to provide
flexibility in passing optional parameters. The register() function
supports the current parameter list for users that don't require the
use of optional parameters.
The devm_fpga_mgr_register() function is retained, and the
devm_fpga_mgr_register_full() function is added.

Currently autoloading for SPI devices does not use the DT ID table, it uses
SPI modalises. Supporting OF modalises is going to be difficult if not
impractical, an attempt was made but has been reverted, so ensure that
module autoloading works for this driver by adding a SPI ID table.

CSR address space for Accelerator Functional Units (AFU) is not available
during the early Device Feature List (DFL) enumeration. Early access
to this space results in invalid data and port errors. This change adds
a condition to prevent an early read from the AFU CSR space.

DFL device drivers have a common need for checking feature revision
information from the DFL header, as well as other common DFL information
like the already exposed feature id and type.
This patch exposes the feature revision information directly via the DFL
device data structure.
Since the DFL core code has already read the DFL header, this this patch
saves additional mmio reads from DFL device drivers too.

The performance reporting driver added cpu hotplug
feature but it didn't add pmu migration call in cpu
offline function.
This can create an issue incase the current designated
cpu being used to collect fme pmu data got offline,
as based on current code we are not migrating fme pmu to
new target cpu. Because of that perf will still try to
fetch data from that offline cpu and hence we will not
get counter data.
Patch fixed this issue by adding pmu_migrate_context call
in fme_perf_offline_cpu function.

This adds the approved PCI Express Device IDs for the Silicom PAC N5010
and N5011 cards (aka. Silicom Lightning Creek cards).
The N5010 features an FPGA that manages/interfaces four QSFP ports, and
allows on-board custom packet processing/filtering/routing, based on
logic loaded with user-provided FPGA bitstreams.
The N5011 cards adds a PCIe switch that exposes, in addition to the FPGA
itself, two Intel E810 (aka Columbiaville) ethernet controllers. With
this, packets can be forwarded from the FPGA to the host for further
processing.

PDI source type can be DDR, OCM, QSPI flash etc..

The driver core ignores the return value of this callback because there
is only little it can do when a device disappears.
This is the final bit of a long lasting cleanup quest where several
buses were converted to also return void from their remove callback.
Additionally some resource leaks were fixed that were caused by drivers
returning an error code in the expectation that the driver won't go
away.
With struct bus_type::remove returning void it's prevented that newly
implemented buses return an ignored error code and so don't anticipate
wrong expectations for driver authors.

Pull ARM SoC driver updates from Arnd Bergmann:
"Updates for SoC specific drivers include a few subsystems that have
their own maintainers but send them through the soc tree:
TEE/OP-TEE:
- Add tracepoints around calls to secure world
Memory controller drivers:
- Minor fixes for Renesas, Exynos, Mediatek and Tegra platforms
- Add debug statistics to Tegra20 memory controller
- Update Tegra bindings and convert to dtschema
ARM SCMI Firmware:
- Support for modular SCMI protocols and vendor specific extensions
- New SCMI IIO driver
- Per-cpu DVFS
The other driver changes are all from the platform maintainers
directly and reflect the drivers that don't fit into any other
subsystem as well as treewide changes for a particular platform.
SoCFPGA:
- Various cleanups contributed by Krzysztof Kozlowski
Mediatek:
- add MT8183 support to mutex driver
- MMSYS: use per SoC array to describe the possible routing

OMAP:

Port enable is not complete until ACK = 0. Change
__afu_port_enable() to guarantee that the enable process
is complete by polling for ACK == 0.

Agilex, N5X and Stratix 10 share all quite similar arm64 hard cores and
SoC-part. Up to a point that N5X uses the same DTSI as Agilex. From
the Linux kernel point of view these are flavors of the same
architecture so there is no need for three top-level arm64
architectures. Simplify this by merging all three architectures into
ARCH_INTEL_SOCFPGA and dropping the other ARCH* arm64 Kconfig entries.
The side effect is that the INTEL_STRATIX10_SERVICE will now be
available for both 32-bit and 64-bit Intel SoCFPGA, even though it is
used only for 64-bit.

This patch adds support for Xilinx Dynamic Function eXchange(DFX) AXI
shutdown manager IP. It can be used to safely handling the AXI traffic
on a Reconfigurable Partition when it is undergoing dynamic reconfiguration
and there by preventing system deadlock that may occur if AXI transactions
are interrupted during reconfiguration.
PR-Decoupler and AXI shutdown manager are completely different IPs.
But both the IP registers are compatible and also both belong to the
same sub-system (fpga-bridge).So using same driver for both IP's.

The current code produces an error message on devm_gpiod_get() errors even
when the error is -EPROBE_DEFER, which should be silent.
This has been observed producing a significant amount of messages like:
xlnx-slave-spi spi1.1: Failed to get PROGRAM_B gpio: -517
Fix and simplify code by using the dev_err_probe() helper function.

The only usage of these is to put their addresses in arrays of pointers
to const attribute_groups. Make them const to allow the compiler to put
them in read-only memory.

This patch adds support for the Nios handshake private feature on Intel
PAC (Programmable Acceleration Card) N3000.
The Nios is the embedded processor on the FPGA card. This private feature
provides a handshake interface to FPGA Nios firmware, which receives
retimer configuration command from host and executes via an internal SPI
master (spi-altera). When Nios finishes the configuration, host takes over
the ownership of the SPI master to control an Intel MAX10 BMC (Board
Management Controller) Chip on the SPI bus.
For Nios firmware handshake part, this driver requests the retimer
configuration for Nios firmware on probe, and adds some sysfs nodes for
user to query the onboard retimer's working mode and Nios firmware
version.
For SPI part, this driver adds a spi-altera platform device as well as
the MAX10 BMC spi slave info. A spi-altera driver will be matched to
handle the following SPI work.

Now the dfl drivers could be made as independent modules and put in
different folders according to their functionalities. In order for
scattered dfl device drivers to include dfl bus APIs, move the
dfl bus APIs to a new header file in the public folder.

Some brief description for DFL (Device Feature List) is added to make

The value of the field dfl_device.type comes from the 12 bits register
field DFH_ID according to DFL spec. So this patch changes the definition
of the type field to u16.
Also it is not necessary to illustrate the valid bits of the type field
in comments. Instead we should explicitly define the possible values in
the enumeration type for it, because they are shared by hardware spec.
We should not let the compiler decide these values.
Similar changes are also applied to dfl_device.feature_id.
This patch also fixed the MODALIAS format according to the changes
above.
